If there is one thing that this website has taught me; it has taught me that I am not as good a writer as I once believed. I have always been told that I am a good story teller and that I should be a writer. Telling good stories verbally does not necessarily correspond to excellent abilities at the writing format of the art. There are a lot of other factors involved. Do not get me started on punctuation or proper gramar. I fell that I am better suited at screenplays and acting in general. Both of which are in the same story telling category. With these recent revelations in my mind; I have decided to end the brief run of gregoryblogtime.com. However like I have said before; Not even my own downfalls can alter me on my path to the great places in which  I am going.  I have decided to upgrade my web presence with a totally new site which is going to be mainly video and audio based. It is going to include a podcast to listen to at your own conveniences as well as daily updates. The webstie is going to be intertwined with the television show of the same name... GregoryB.com

Worlds Oldest Joke
 
The world's oldest recorded joke has been traced back to 1900 BC and suggests toilet humor was as popular with the ancients as it is today. It is a saying of the Sumerian, who lived in what is now southern Iraq and goes: "Something which has never occurred since time immemorial; a young woman did not fart in her husband's lap."  This Joke heads the world's oldest top 10 joke list published by the University of Wolverhampton Thursday.  A 1600 BC gag about a pharaoh, said to be King Snofru, comes second -- "How do you entertain a bored pharaoh? NBA finals MVP Paul Pierce has made some not-so-bright decisions during his off time this Summer, It all started with the gang sign he flashed during the championship series between the Lakers in early June. NBA commissioner David Stern was sitting in the general vicinity during the incident. Pierce then later received an incredible amount of bad press from the Los Angeles area due to some disrespectful comments he made regarding his finals opponent Kobe Bryant:
 
"I don't think Kobe is the best player. I'm the best player. There's a fine line that separates having confidence and being a conceited. I don't cross that line...
 
The most recent incident by the troubled Celtic occurred last night when Mr. MVP Pierce was apparently pulled over and handcuffed by the Las Vegas police. He was driving drunk down the heavenly policed Las Vegas Strip. Officers involved in the incident stated that the handcuffs would not have been necessary if Pierce would have cooperated with  the police.

Celebrity Blogs
 
Many A-list and D-list celebs are jumping on the blog-bandwagon. Some of their work is better than others. The A-listers obviously have a whole team of webmasters working for them, and the D-listers obviously are basically doing things themselves, (like me...) Some celebrities whom are obviously not very internet savvy, do not even own a domain name. No. Instead they prefer to use the comfortable confides of their myspace page(my space is gay). They use this social networking tool as their personal blogspot. This is obviously more common with the minor celebs, not the ones that you see on the cover of OK magazine. 
One particular d-lister who  has increased his amount of celebrity tremendously is Stevo from the infamous Jack-Ass show. I originally thought I was on his official site, but it was just a scammer who cut and past everything from Stevo's real blog, which is his myspace. The fake Stevo rips off everything from Stevo's MySpace and  then posts it on his own phony site.The fake Stevo is turning a profit by hawking jack ass videos, Stevo t-shirts and various Jack-Ass paraphernalia. The internet is full of crafty buisness men.
On  Stevo's  official MySpace page he blogs from a mental institution where he has gone for depression and  apparently cutting himself or something of the sadomasochist nature. The weblog is allright, at best, and that's all.  It does not compare to some of the other A-list celebrities blogs.  Kanye West has the best blog/website around town. He actually chose the name KanyeUniverseCity.Com as his official domain.  Kanye's  site is extremely impressive, not just with the graphics, but the amount of content is superb as well. It has videos, downloads, and even a clothing store. I am assuming that Kanye has a whole team working with  him on this site. It  not only has clips and logs about Kanye, but it also has a tremendous amount of information on very hot female models, good movies coming out, as well as up-and-comers in the music biz. I would totally recommend this site to anyone, They should give this guy a website award or something, and everybody knows how much Kanye loves awards.

To add to the continual point which I make: The wrong type of people are pro-creating on this planet. I give you the story of a family in New Zealand who attempted to name their child: "Talula Does The Hula".  Judge Rob Murfitt made the 9-year-old girl a ward of the court so that her name could be changed, he said in a ruling made public Thursday.  "The court is profoundly concerned about the very poor judgment which this child's parents have shown in choosing this name," he wrote. "It makes a fool of the child and sets her up with a social disability and handicap, unnecessarily." In his ruling, Murfitt cited a list of other unfortunate name choices made by idiot parents. Registration officials blocked some names, including Fish and Chips, Yeah Detroit, Keenan Got Lucy and Sex Fruit, he said. Christian the Lion
 
 There is a great youtube video about a lion named Christian. Two guys from the UK bought a lion cub from a high-end department store in London. The lion got too big and they had to reintroduce him to Africa. They did exactly that, but they missed their  orange buddy. The 2 men decided to take the long and expensive trip to Africa to visit their little kitty. The experts recommended against this. They said that Christian had already became the leader of his own pride and would not even remember them. They ignored these expert recommendations and went to visit their beloved pet anyways. This is what happened...

Basketball Breaks Boundaries 
 
The sport of basketball is crossing borders and breaking boundaries as it quickly overtakes soccer as the most popular sport on this planet. What people in the U.S do not understand is that sports like baseball and football are not  well known to other nations. These American sports are hardly ever played as well.  Basketball, like soccer, seems to transcend this notion of American athletics and has quickly become one of the most popular sports in the world. This is most notable and obvious on the professional level of play.
 
 The basketball tournament is the event at this years  Olympic games that everybody is waiting to see. It's the hottest ticket in Bejing. Some seats in Olympic Stadium are going for10's of 1000's of dollars. It used to be that the United States had a stranglehold on the sport. This all changeda few years ago when other countries quickly caught up along with the popularity of the game. The NBA today is stock full of foreign born players who are also perennial all stars.
 
The whole world is watching. 
Basketball can unite people better than a joint around a beach-side camp-fire. Recently the Iranian national team came to visit with the Utah Jazz and media at a Salt Lake facility. There was a bunch of kids running around for the photo op. The Iranian national team seemed like normal regular basketball players. This is despite the fact that their leader does not believe in the holocausts and thinks that all gays should be tortured and killed. When you get past these questionable and unpopular beliefs by their leader Ahmad MuckIaduck, the ball players were really friendly and polite to reporters and the media. Some of them spoke English rather well.

One of the most recruited High School basketball players in the country is named Brandon Jennings. Jennings just graduated from High School in California but had a tough time with the college entrance exams. He had previously committed to the University of Arizona, but he knew he would be a "one and done". This is the term used to describe a college basketball player who attends one year of college before making the jump to the NBA. The reason for this is because NBA commissioner David Stern felt that basketball players who are coming straight from High School are not mature enough for pro ball. He set a one year waiting period on when a player can declare themselves eligible for the NBA draft. This was suppose to force a lot of talented players to go to a University for a year. It would make the commish's good friends at the NCAA a whole lot of money. If you look at the final four the last few years. It has been dominated by freshman the likes of Kevin Love, OJ Mayo, and Greg Oden. It appears the keen mind of a young entrepreneurs will start a trend that certainly displeases the NCAA basketball committee and the amount of profit they are able to make. More and more High School seniors will be signing multi-million dollar deals overseas where the game of basketball is thriving at an all time high. Not just 18 year old High School graduates, but bonified players have decided to go over seas. Atlanta Hawks all star Josh Childress just signed a multi-million dollar deal to play in Greece. More players and agents are taking notice to this new market of basketball.
 
18-year-old Brandon Jennings was greeted with open arms by the people of Italy. His agent reported that 7 other Euro-Basketball franchises and one soccer organization had contacted him about his client.
 
"This is a great thing for the world of sports." says Brandon's agent, "It is a way of uniting countries through a common interest. More and more kids are going to opt for overseas rather than college."
 
Brandon is not upset about missing out on college,
 
"College isn't for everybody. For me, this is college right here. I am in a new country, with a new language, I opened the door to my Villa this morning and saw the beautiful streets of Rome. I think I will learn more here than I ever could at one year of school."
 
 
 
 
 

 

 

  

 

Gangster out acts everybody by acting like himself

"Gomorra," the organized-crime tale that won rave reviews at Cannes last May is helping the Italian police track down real criminals. Apparently a real life gangster won an open audition for the film which portrays his real life Italian mafia past. Director Matteo Garrone  wanted to use a no name cast for the picture. The actor, credited in the film as Giovanno Venosa,  is reported to be a wanted organized crime figure with a passion for acting, Italian police say that they tracked him down when the movie was being screened for prisoners in the Italian city of Modena. The authorities feel that they would not have captured or even recognized Venosa if it were not for the snitches in the city jail. In the film the character that Venosa plays apparently kills 2 teenagers. Italian police have not indicated if this is the crime that Venosa is accused of.

They announced the lamest bill for a concert that I have ever heard of. Stix and Boston are playing in a couple of months. They are going to have Smash Mouth open for them. I wonder what the crowd for this show is going to be like? Probably the biggest bunch of douche bags and children of yuppies that anyone had ever seen. Generation-X has reached their 30's and they are taking over concerts and coffee shops. I bet there are a lot of people in that crowd who supported George Bush and the Iraq war. I would say that a lot of off duty police officers will be in the crowd. Anyone that listens to this type of music is like a begging dog waiting for anything that you feed him with their mouth wide open for whatever piece of meat(music) THE MAN feels like it should drop inside. 

 

 



Austin Texas 6/9/8

I sit here in this coffee shop drinking my latte while keeping it crispy.  I see Jennifer Gale out the window walking down the street carrying too many bags. She is walking in the hot Texas sun. You have to give props to anybody that does that. For those of you who do not know who Jennifer Gale is: I will tell you. Jennifer Gale is the post-op trans-sexual who has been running for city council for the last 6 local elections. She usually plays second fiddle to Leslie: the g-string wearing transvestite who you can see all around town as well as in  local films, music videos and whatever else is produced in this town... 

Austin Texas is the only city which produces its own brand of weirdos. Some of which are even nationalized to the whole country. Leslie was on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno promoting his magnet collection. The lead singer of The Flaming Lips insisted that Leslie came with him.

Alex Jones has been in numerous films and is a close personal friend of UT graduate Richard Linkletter. Even Jeff Davis has recently seen some national exposure. God only knows why..

I wonder who will become the next Austinite Wierdo Celebrity. I have a feeling he will be bigger and wierdo than any of his respected predecessors.

HOPE

I have never voted for a Democratic candidate in my entire voting life, but I always vote.  This includes local and national elections. I usually vote libertarian. A lot of people are surprised by my decision on this matter.  The main reason that I vote libertarian is because I am pro-life, pro-gun, and overall for a small government which stays out of my business. I am for less spending, and I am against any type of government aide.  I do not like a lot of former Democratic presidents. I find FDR and JFK to be so over rated in what they did for the country as a whole. Both of them helped the Democratic party tremendously. History looks past all the bullshit that they did as well. For example, John F. Kennedy getting us into Vietnam as well as his Bay of Pigs fiasco, both of which which killed hundreds of innocent people. Robert Kennedy did more for the United States than his older brother. Then there is FDR totally knowing about Pearl Harbor and totally lying to the American people.

With the current state of the nation and the economy; I plan on voting for a Democrat for the first and probably the only time in my life. I am putting my personal beliefs aside and I plan on voting for Barack Obama  this November. Obama is  the best thing for this country and I will put my trust in him. I just hope he does not have a female senator from N.Y. as his V.P. If Barack can not save us, or if John McCain wins: Well then god help us all. There is a youtube video which has received over 7 million hits and is full of celebrities. I believe the video and the song is made by Will I Am of the Black Eyed Peas. It is quite moving and so is Barack Obama...

TMZ

Once again the Fox Television Network has become an innovator in the way different TV shows are produced and aired. Less than 6 months ago Fox and producer/host Harvey Levin started the show TMZ where their cameras go around Hollywood(thirty mile zone) following celebrities as they go out to different clubs and restaurants. It was something totally new as far as Hollywood TV gossip shows are concerned. It took a little while, as it always does, for all the other mainstream shows on the competing networks to catch up, but they are now coping the TMZ format almost exactly. Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight and Extra have all started  to mimic the show. The success of TMZ has led the bigger networks to change the format that they had previously been using for almost 20 years! These shows used to rely on in-studio-interviews and crappy ass emotional montages to fill there 30 min of Hollywood bullshit to satisfy the boring lives of housewives. Now they are trying to be more hip buy doing the same thing as TMZ. The mainstream media are ignoring this but I am not. The same type of theft of idea from brave old Fox  Television happened with American Idol. Fox was the first show to have a 3 judge panel and it was not long before other shows with the same format popped up. Dancing with the Stars and Americas Got Talent are examples of the A.I. rip off. Some of them even have a U.K. judge just like Simon Cowell. I remember when Fox was the bottom of the barrel as far as television programming was concerned. Now they are setting the standard. Times they are a changin...

Most people live their lives and do not make the world a better place during the time that they are here. They actually make the world a much worst place compared to if they did not exist at all. If you look at the world from an atheist perspective, than the majority of people are only here through lack of birth control or just the egos of their conceded parents. In general during the course of an individuals life, they create more trash, they cause more bullshit and do not contribute much to the planet at all.  

John Walsh from America's Most Wanted is not one of these people. In the summer of 1981, Walsh was a partner in a hotel management company in Hollywood, Florida. He was living the American dream. He and his wife, Reve, had a beautiful six-year-old son, Adam, the joy of their lives. They never thought crime could touch them. But that joy was shattered on July 27th, 1981, when Adam was abducted and later found raped and murdered. The Walshs' have never received the closure that America's Most Wanted has brought the lives of so many crime victims. The prime suspect in Adam's murder, Ottis Toole, was never charged in the Adam Walsh case; he died in prison while serving life for other crimes taking the truth to the grave with him.

John Walsh decided to take his pain and turn it into something positive. A few days ago, America's Most Wanted captured their 1000th criminal and is still one of the most universally popular shows on television. Mr. Walsh knows that he is good and that most people are not. He really is trying to make the world a better place by eliminating the bad apples. To actually fully succeed in doing this is just about impossible without the help of universal sterilization. John Walsh however is at least  giving it all that he has. Most people that are abused as a child end up abusing other children in their own adult life. I much rather like the person that decides to kill and murder child abusers instead of perpetuating the cycle by becoming what they hate. If I was in charge I would have all rapists castrated and neutered. This would  prevent any repeat offenders.
